A Conscious Relationship

A Conscious Relationship

Red Boots
There was an article today about animals, dogs and cats in particular, and how they are perceived to be the last authentic connection to a paradise lost. Mainly because they love you without judging or thinking about it and because they have this amazing ability to stay in their present, to live their life without contemplating about death, like us human do throughout our lives. The article took for granted that animals have no consciousness, thus they act only through their free, natural instincts. I am more skeptical about that. I do not think we know everything that there is to know about animals. I don’t understand how humanity is so certain that animals do not have consciousness and they do not think about death in general or their…

Under a Different Star

Under a Different Star

Red Boots
We are all born under a different star. Some things that happen have nothing to do with us. Others no matter how much we try, still will not have to do anything with us. Sad, unfair, discomforting or not, things not always work their way towards our way. Meetings don’t always take place, hearts hurt, brains break down, the body gets sick and the Soul feels absent.    It takes us decays to admit that “this, has nothing to do with me” and not feel guilty or as failure, as if we had not given our best intentions and tries, as if we were not carefully leaning our ears to hear the tone of the times and extending our palms to touch the edges of our opportunities. I feel a…

Once upon an ancient time in the beautiful land of Crete was a mighty King. King Minos. Ascending to power was not an easy task as he had two rival siblings. To become a king he asked God’s help. He prayed to Poseidon for a proof and Poseidon gave birth from the depths of the sea of a Bull, a snow – white - magnificent bull. Minos vowed to heaven that he would sacrifice the bull to Poseidon. The Nureyev Movement

The Nureyev Movement

Red Boots
On June 16, 1961 Rudolf Nureyev defected to the West, seeking asylum in France. Less than a year later he was the most famous male dancer in the western world. Even before his defection, he was a star in his own country, Russia. He was from the very beginning a gifted, talented, unique, flamboyant, charismatic figure, who became indisputably amongst the greatest ballet dancers ever. Far beyond his powerful presence, within his aggressiveness and his capricious outbursts, he was hungry and curious for everything he could possible experience; dancing, lovers, travels, other forms of art. Under a naked eye, stripped to the bottom of his hunger, he was simply a disciple of movement. So, long before the political intrigues of his times, a time of the Cold War between Russia…
